We are so happy to host Absolute SoapStone for a SoapStone Carving workshop this weekend! This is an amazing learning experience, you start with a precut Loon and you are guided step by step with patient and expert instruction with all materials supplied.
Soapstone, rich in talc, is naturally soft and responsive. As you carve, the steady rhythm of rasp on stone slows the mind. The softness invites patience. Shaping something solid with your own hands builds quiet confidence. What begins as a rock often becomes something deeper — calm, focus, pride and empowerment.
